Community Collaboration
Families in Partnership hosted a community collaboration meeting on Thursday, 14 April 2011. What a success! We had representation from Families in Partnership Early Head Start, Libby School District Administration, St. John’s Lutheran Hospital, Community Health Center, Kootenai Valley Head Start, Family Services and Foster Care, SJLH Speech Therapy, Early Intervention Preschool, Lincoln County Library, and the Parent Liaison from Libby Public Schools.
We are excited to proceed with our collaboration effort and invite you to join us. Please visit http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/JSYQ9W6 to take a quick survey. We want to make every effort to meet the needs of our participants. This short survey will allow us to structure a meeting schedule and format that will benefit the group as a whole.
Collaboration starts with communication, networking, coordination and cooperation. It is a mutually beneficial and well-defined relationship entered into by two or more agencies to achieve common goals that could not be achieved by working alone. Libby has so many different agencies making a positive contribution to children and families in our community. Please join us in our journey toward true collaboration.
Thursday, 05 May 2011 @ 6:00 p.m. we will host a planning meeting to discuss how we will proceed with the community collaboration effort. This is an opportunity for agencies to express their needs and expectations. We will also establish how to share the responsibility of documenting our efforts and collaborative successes by maintaining meeting minutes.
